In celebrating our teacher H. E. Tulku Phuntsok Rinpoche’s 6^th Birthday, on the 1^st November 2008, disciples of Lama Thubten Namdrol Dorje (Thekchen Choling Singapore) have gathered together to liberate 260,000 lives in the morning.

With Lama’s kindness, he has given us a special teaching on how to bless the animals for animal liberation. We wish to thank all who has contributed and made this celebration a success. May all the merits we’ve accumulated through this event be dedicated to Phuntsok Rinpoche’s long life, good health and activities to flourish the Buddhadharma.

Thekchen Choling (Singapore)

To celebrate the auspicious birthday of Phuntsok Rinpoche on 28 October 2008, Khen Rinpoche, Geshe Chonyi, together with Kopan monks and students of Amitabha Buddhist Centre conducted an animal liberation which saw the release of about 1 million animals. We rejoice at this wonderful opportunity to make prayers for the good health of Phuntsok Rinpoche. We pray for the success in his Dharma studies so that Rinpoche will quickly benefit all sentient beings.

We dedicate all our merits for the flourishing of the Buddhadharma, the long and healthy lives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup, Geshe Chonyi, and Phuntsok Rinpoche. May all our precious gurus’ wishes be easily fulfilled. We are deeply grateful for the blessings from our gurus. May Amitabha Buddhist Centre and all Dharma practitioners have favourable conditions in abundance in all their activities. May all living beings abide in happiness.

Today, 28^th October 2008, Lama Thubten Namdrol Dorje, the Spiritual Director of Thekchen Choling (Singapore) and all disciples and students, wish our teacher H. E. Tulku Phuntsok Rinpoche a Happy 6^th Birthday. Today is also the birthday celebration of Medicine Buddha according to the Chinese lunar calendar.  

We have recited a sutra “Confession to Medicine Buddha” and shall be conducting an animal liberation session on 2^nd November 2008 as part of the birthday celebrations. Tonight, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup shall be teaching in our temple.

We dedicated all merits to the long and healthy life of Phuntsok Rinpoche. May he bring benefits to all beings and lead us to the path of full enlightenment.

REMEBRANCE OF 7TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PARINIRVANA OF LATE GESHE LAMA KONCHOG

Lama Thubten Namdrol Dorje, the Spiritual Director of Thekchen Choling (Singapore), together with more than a hundred disciples and students, conducted a Guru Puja on 15^th October 2008 as a remembrance of our teacher, the Late Geshe Lama Konchog.

Before the commencement of the puja, Lama Dorje gave a short talk about guru devotion and of how, in 1999 during his birthday celebrations, Gesha-la first instructed him to start a temple and then gave it the name “Thekchen Choling”.

It was through the kindness of both our teachers that we have been fortunate to buy this current piece of freehold land in Singapore that is gazette by the government for use as a temple. Through out the puja, many of us constantly thought of our teachers’ kindness. It was a very meaningful event.

We dedicate all the merits to HH the Dalai lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundup and all the gurus for their long and healthy life.We rejoice that Geshe-la has come back to us again as the six years old Tulku Phuntsok Rinpoche. We look forward to celebrate his coming 6^th birthday on 28^th October 2008 with Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup of Kopan Monastery giving a dharma teaching in our temple.

This 6th Birthday of Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche we are performing Namgyalma Long life Puja at Kopan monastery and Mother Tara Puja at Kopan nunnery.

We will dedicate all the merits to HH Dalai lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundup and all the gurus for their long, healthy life in general, and to Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche for his good health, success in study and be able to benefit all sentient beings.

Please convey our sincere thanks and prayers to the kind supporters, and all the students and non-students of late Geshe Lama Konchog and Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche, we will make prayers in our morning pujas for their long and healthy life and the success of all their activities. Especially for the donors and supporters for TPR’s education fund, we will use the offering from the fund because everyone needs to create merits for  any activities, pls you also visualize and dedicate, May all be free from obstacle and have a enjoyable life.

Here in Kopan on 15 October, 2008, a Medicine Buddha & a Namgyalma Long life Puja, Medicine Buddha puja is for those whoever suffering from different kind of sicknesses, may they be free from all the sickness and may they have a long life and benefit all sentient beings, this puja will be done to commemorate the 7th Anniversary Puja for the late Geshe Lama Konchog. We dedicate all the merits to HH Dalai lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundup and all the gurus for their long, healthy life in general, and to Tenzin Phuntsok rinpoche for his good health, success in study to benefit all mother sentient beings in particular. Lastly, please also dedicate all the merits to the success of Metriya project as well as all the other Projects of our precious Guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Here in Kopan we have started the Summer Retreat for 45 days. We are not allowed to go out of the Monastery and Phuntsok Rinpoche also joined the retreat and will dedicate  for all beings.

Dear Everyone

During Vesak Celebration 2008, Amitabha Buddhist Centre was greatly honoured to host the Relics Exhibition of the Great Mahasiddha Geshe Lama Konchog. Many people were blessed and inspired by the holy presence of Geshe-la’s relics. On Vesak Day, we have accumulated the liberation of about 100 million animals. We joyously dedicate these merits to the long and healthy lives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup, Phuntsok Rinpoche, Geshe Chonyi, Geshe Zopa, and all FPMT Sangha.

We offer our deepest thanks to our Gurus for their blessings. May all their Dharma wishes be successfully accomplished. This Saka Dawa, we will be conducting Medicine Buddha Puja, Guru Puja and Shakyamuni Puja with 1,000 offerings. Through the accumulation of merit and wisdom, may Amitabha Buddhist Centre continue to benefit many living beings, and be the cause for their full enlightenment.
