Homage to the GURUS
homage to Tulku Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche! Homage to Geshe Tenzin Zopa! to both Kadampa Masters, i bow down!
i first met the bodsattva, the perfect guru, the great yogi Geshe Lama Konchog in l987 at chenrezig institute, australia. immediately my life changed. he stayed only five months and then he left. i did not see him again until 2000 in Singapore when he had his operation. sitting in the Singapore hospsital was the saddest, the happiest, the most frightening, the most blissful time of my entire life.
i am a nun simply because of his great compassion – not from any cause from my side.
the day Lama died, the 15th October, 2001, there was a rain of yellow flowers from a tree in my front garden. Every year on the 15th October these flowers fall. They form a golden carpet across the road and cover each of the neighbours houses on either side.
Geshe Lama Konchog performed miracles only a living Buddha could do!
Geshe Tenzin Zopa is also the most perfect guru, bodhisattva, compassionate being and heart disciple of all the holy gurus. He is also my beloved Guru Brother.
When GTZ held me up so i would stand on wobbly knees to look at GLK’s holy perfect face when he was in clear light meditation in Kopan in 2001, i whispered into Lama’s ear – “I love you. i will devote purely and completely from my heart to Tenzin Zopa and do his every wish”. Allowing such a simple being to look into the face of bliss, was another miracle performed by Lama.
from my side i am nothing, just a perfect practitioner of mindlessness, i have no such karma to be in the presence of such esteemed gurus of perfection as Geshe Lama Konchog/Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche and Geshe Tenzin Zopa. it is only from THEIR side that i have been given the opportunity to practice guru devotion.
they show us the truth – we just have to be brave and see it.
ta ya tha: gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi soha!
