Kopan Family celebrates Birthday with Lama

November 9th, 2006

Lama celebrated his 4th birthday anniversary on 28 Oct 06, at Kopan with hundreds of Sanghas and few Western friends in the dining hall. It was a great day for him especially to get along with young monks at his house which he enjoyed a lot. Normally Lama doesn’t like to leave his house and gives us a big “No, No” when he was asked to, but that day lama himself insisted to go out to celebrate and he was unusually quite and peaceful in front of many people which shocked us all.

Lama cut the cake and about 15 little monks offered a birthday song, followed by a tea party to all the participants.

On the same day we received many calls and SMS from Singapore wishing Lama la a very happy birthday and that lama have long life and grow up soon. Students from Singapore did 1.1 Million Animal liberation for lama’s long life. We should thank Fred Chong and his friends those who organized this ceremony. Fred Chong is the one who started this Animal Liberation while late Geshe Lama Konchog was ill in Singapore. I am glad that Fred is still carrying on the wonderful job. I truly believe that his dedication and hard work will help in bringing prosperity and long life of all the Gurus, especially H.H the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche and all other gurus along with Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche. I hope Lama TPR will grow up soon and benefit all sentient beings.

On behalf of Lama, I would like to extant my sincere thanks to all the friends who supported and volunteered in making the function a fascinating one.

Homage to the GURUS

November 8th, 2006

homage to Tulku Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche!  Homage to Geshe Tenzin Zopa!  to both Kadampa Masters, i bow down!

i first met the bodsattva, the perfect guru, the great yogi Geshe Lama Konchog in l987 at chenrezig institute, australia.  immediately my life changed.  he stayed only five months and then he left.  i did not see him again until 2000 in Singapore when he had his operation.  sitting in the Singapore hospsital was the saddest, the happiest, the most frightening, the most blissful time of my entire life.

i am a nun simply because of his great compassion – not from any cause from my side.

the day Lama died, the 15th October, 2001, there was a rain of yellow flowers from a tree in my front garden.  Every year on the 15th October these flowers fall.  They form a golden carpet across the road and cover each of the neighbours houses on either side.

Geshe Lama Konchog performed miracles only a living Buddha could do!

Geshe Tenzin Zopa is also the most perfect guru, bodhisattva, compassionate being and heart disciple of all the holy gurus.  He is also my beloved Guru Brother.

When GTZ held me up so i would stand on wobbly knees to look at GLK’s holy perfect face when he was in clear light meditation in Kopan in 2001, i whispered into Lama’s ear – “I love you.  i will devote purely and completely from my heart to Tenzin Zopa and do his every wish”. Allowing such a simple being to look into the face of bliss, was another miracle performed by Lama.

from my side i am nothing, just a perfect practitioner of mindlessness, i have no such karma to be in the presence of such esteemed gurus of perfection as Geshe Lama Konchog/Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche and Geshe Tenzin Zopa.  it is only from THEIR side that i have been given the opportunity to practice guru devotion.

they show us the truth – we just have to be brave and see it.

ta ya tha: gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi soha!

Geshe Zopa says Thank You

November 1st, 2006

Hi Dear most kind and most helpful and wonderful dharma brothers Tony Simmons and SS.

I would like to thank you both so much on behalf of Tulku Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche and all His students, friends and whoever is seeing this wonderful webpage about Tulku Rinpoche from all over the world.

This is just wonderful. You have put so much effort on it. You have done so beautifully, I have received many many emails and sms about the webpage. Everyone is so happy and very thankful. This webpage was great relief for me because many many people did asked me to update about Tulku Rinpoche since his enthronement, many many people wish to keep in touch with Him and get to know more about Him and want to see his day to day life both in words and Photos etc.

Without this webpage no way I can able to update hundreds and hundreds of people from all over the world. Due to my poor English and as well busy with many other things no way I can handle everything.

So I am truly thankful to both of you and as well all the people whoever did help with anything to do with Tulku Rinpoche. I will request Tulku Rinpoche to pray for you all and I will do so for always.

Your kindness is unforgetable.

With lots of thanks and care and prayers
Geshe Zopa 1/11/06
