Happy Saka Dawa

June 6th, 2008

Dear Everyone

During Vesak Celebration 2008, Amitabha Buddhist Centre was greatly honoured to host the Relics Exhibition of the Great Mahasiddha Geshe Lama Konchog. Many people were blessed and inspired by the holy presence of Geshe-la’s relics. On Vesak Day, we have accumulated the liberation of about 100 million animals. We joyously dedicate these merits to the long and healthy lives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup, Phuntsok Rinpoche, Geshe Chonyi, Geshe Zopa, and all FPMT Sangha.

We offer our deepest thanks to our Gurus for their blessings. May all their Dharma wishes be successfully accomplished. This Saka Dawa, we will be conducting Medicine Buddha Puja, Guru Puja and Shakyamuni Puja with 1,000 offerings. Through the accumulation of merit and wisdom, may Amitabha Buddhist Centre continue to benefit many living beings, and be the cause for their full enlightenment.

Vesak Day, Singapore 2008

May 28th, 2008

Dear all

During the auspicious period of Vesak, Singapore was blessed to be able to welcome the inspiring precious relics of His Eminence Geshe Lama Konchog. On a bright Saturday morning Thekchen Choling (Singapore) welcomed Geshe-la’s relics. Everyone was amazed at the range of relics brought very kindly to Singapore by Ven Thubten Lhundrup and which remained in the main gompa for the next two days. We were overjoyed when after much consideration, Ven Thubten Lhundrup agreed to have Geshe-la’s relics remain at the temple overnight . Some students and staff kept vigil through the night . Many people came to venerate Geshe-la’s relics and read about his life and reincarnation.

On that same day we released 400,000 lives as part of our regular animal liberation practice dedicated to the long lives of all kind and precious gurus.

We wish to thank everyone who made it possible for so many people in Singapore to venerate Geshe-la’s relics and receive great blessings. In particular to Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lama Lhundrup due to whose kindness this was made possible.

Merit-Multiplying Day

October 30th, 2007

On the 28th Oct, Amithaba Buddhist Centre liberated 5 tonnes of shell, about 850,000 lives, for Tenzin Phuntsok’s birthday. Dedicated to his long life and good health. Here’s wishing Rinpoche’s education a smooth one as we are all looking forward to him benefiting countless sentient being with his precious teachings in the future.

To commemorate Shakayamuni Buddha’s decent from Heaven of the 33, Amitabha Buddhist Centre will be conducting Shakyamuni Buddha Puja on 1 November 2007. Through visualising the offering of billion-fold universes filled with the seven precious gems and auspicious ornaments, the inconceivable celestial palace of the sambhogakaya, and the joyful pure land of the dharmakaya where all appearance and existence are completely pure, we pray with deep faith that all perfectly qualified Mahayana gurus will continue to turn the wheel of Dharma, just as Shakyamuni Buddha did.

May these clouds of offerings be received by the buddhas and bodhisattvas in the ten directions by the power of truth of the Three Sublime Jewels and the great wealth of the completed two collections of merit and wisdom.

We dedicate all merits for the flourishing of the Buddhadharma, the long and healthy lives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup, Geshe Chonyi, and Phuntsok Rinpoche. May all our precious gurus’ wishes be fulfilled spontaneously.
